Europe Lake - The Fishing is Great & the Living is Easy
The water in Europe Lake is shallow and warm with a sandy bottom. The lake is bordered on the east by Newport State Park.
If you have the kids along, be sure to look for the turtles that hang out at the old marina, and if you’re a fisherman you’ll find a great population of Northern there too. Fishing licenses and Great Lakes stamps are required if you are going to try your hand at angling!
Europe Lake is about 272 acres in size with a maximum depth of 8 feet. In addition to the Northern Pike, fisherman will find Walleye, Pan Fish and Small Mouth Bass.
The land around Europe Lake is very moderately developed with nice, single family residences, a location that many covet for its combination of peace, solitude and natural beauty.
