Bay of Green Bay--Sunsets & Spectacular Views
The Door County coast along the Bay of Green Bay is 320 miles long and ranges from 6 to 30 miles wide. The Bay of Green Bay is an arm of Lake Michigan.
Voyagers leaving Mackinaw early in the spring, before the trees had budded, came to the area and found the lands along the borders of this bay covered with the finest, green vegitation so named the area Menomonee, and the early French called it the Bay of Puan.
Along the Bay of Green Bay in Door County are the coastal towns of Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay and Ellison Bay. All along the bayside of the Peninsula are a cultural and recreational activities--year 'round.
Homes--whether a convenient condominium home or a grand estate--are sought after because of the wonderful water views and spectacular sunsets. Inland homes are equally desireable with wooded or meadow settings. And no matter where you are in Door County, you are never more than a few miles from a great place to watch the sunset or take a swim in the bay.
